The winery was founded in 2017 in Pirot. The father of Marjan Savić, the founder of the Savić winery, was the long-term commercial director of a huge wine cellar in Pirot. They say that Uncle George, as everyone called him, was a real gentleman and a bohemian, an excellent connoisseur and lover of good wines. Privately, out of love and exclusively for his own needs, he produced 300 to 400 liters of wine every year. It turned out that it was a way to pass on the love for wine production from father to son, so Marjan, a graduate technologist in food technology for canning and fermentation, decided to inherit, improve and, one day, leave it to his descendants. He decided to replace the inherited vineyards with new, more modern and higher quality varieties. Until the new vineyards mature, he buys grapes from certified producers from the area of Vlasotince. Under the labels of the Savić winery, 5 labels of single-variety wines were launched: Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay, Tamjanika and one Rose (Cabernet Sauvignon). The labels are designed so that both the name and the appearance preserve the tradition of Pirot patterns, but also verbal localizations.
