Tourist Information Centre - Samokov

The Tourist Information Center Samokov is located in the building of the Municipality of Samokov. TIC provides information for stays in Samokov and the region, incl. cultural, mountain and ski tourism. The construction of TIC Govedratsi is also forthcoming within the Municipality of Samokov.

Samokov originated in the Middle Ages connected with iron mining in the area. Its name comes from the iron processing facilities called "Samokov". The cultural development of the city also leaves its monuments – Samokov Art School and church art. As agriculture is poorly developed due to the region's relief, the main impetus is factory production – the textile industry and tobacco.

TIC Samokov is trying to build the municipality of Samokov as a universal tourist destination – ski, natural, cultural, conference, spa, sports, rural and other tourism. It fits in with its most unpopular sites – Lago Eco-Trail and City History Museum.

TIC Samokov has the mission to organize advertising campaigns in the city and its surroundings, incl. advertising materials and calendars, participation in tourism exhibitions, coordination with business and local authorities, development of European projects.
