The village of Ohoden-Valoga is the first settlement complex discovered in Bulgaria, dating from 6400-6300 BC. It corresponds to the Protostarchevo phase of the Neolithic culture registered on the territory of modern Serbia. The Ohoden-Valoga project was initiated by the Bulgarian Archaeological Association, with whose financial support in 2002 the first excavations were carried out at this place. The Early Neolithic settlement was located during field trips in 1994. The area of Valoga (also known as the Lower Bows) is located 1.5 km. northeast of the village of Ohoden, Vratsa municipality. The site is located on a slightly sloping to the east meadow floodplain terrace on the left bank of the river Scut. Its area is about 10 acres.
