Description
The earliest structures such as the Borovets fortress dates are the 5th century - 4th century BC and then the 2nd - 3rd century AD, the Roman era and already Late Antiquity and Early Byzantium. It is their culture, building, way of building, before that of the Thracians. There has been a sanctuary at the top here since the time of the Thracians. Otherwise, it is known that this fortress has been around for a long time, it has undoubtedly been registered since the early 70s of the 20th century by an expedition of the Institute of Archeology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. There are 15 fortresses in the area. On the territory of Pravets municipality, there are 6, on the territory of Botevgrad there are nine more, there are also to Etropole, Teteven. Here it is known that there is a system of Stara Planina fortresses. Stara Planina is occupied by such fortresses, whose purpose was to defend the Roman and later the Byzantine Empire from barbarian invasions. What is different about the Borovets fortress is the construction itself. It is different because some walls touch the fortress wall in some fortresses, and here there is no such thing. On the contrary, the walls of the rooms stand at a certain distance from the fortress wall.
