The church of St. Paraskeva in Gorni Lom village is one of the oldest religious sites in the region. According to some scientific researches it was built in the second half of 14th or in the beginning of 15th century. Тhe church is a small single nave with one apse building. The wallpaintings are probably date from the 16th century, but only those on the east wall are preserved. In the apse is the frescos of the Virgin “Wider than Heaven” and six of the Cristian Church fathers (St. Basil the Great, St. Nicholas, St. Herman, St. Athanasius, St. Gregory and St. John Chrysostom). The church is renovated in 1833 and it is a great model of medieval religious architecture and wallpainting art.
